- Last month the documentary 'Weed Wars' has been aired on US television about Medical Marijuana. In this four-part documentary the makers went inside the business of medical cannabis by following the daily life of Steve DeAngelo and his Harborside Health Center in Oakland.
Steve DeAngelo is a long-time marijuana activist and entrepreneur and is the director of Harborside Health Center, which happens to be the largest medicinal cannabis dispensary in the US. Harborside Health Center helps more than 1000 customers every day and has a total of more than 94.000 clients.
This great documentary offers an incredible look into the medical cannabis scene in the US, from businessmen and activists like DeAngelo to growers, sellers and patients. It shows in a clear way all the difficulties everyone in this industry has to deal with while operating at the edge of legality.
