Perfect for: Palates looking for an old-school Skunk hybrid with an off-the-charts taste
Cheese is a feminised cannabis seed that was an overnight success in the UK when she was first launched and, little by little, she's gained the confidence of people worldwide thanks to her unique traits but, more specifically, thanks to her cheesy taste and aroma. Nowadays, she's a real cannabis strain known by all as well as one of the bestsellers of all Dutch coffee shops, loved by cannabis tourists.
At Dinafem Seeds, our breeders decided to cross two genetics with breathtaking pedigrees: an Old Skunk #1 with very special flavours and aromas, and an Afghani #1. And we couldn't be happier with the resulting Indica hybrid: a top-notch strain with many of the original traits that triumphs everywhere and that everyone identifies as an old-school classic.
- 2nd prize –Grow category- at the 2017 Copa CABA organised by the Argentinian Haze magazine.
Morphology
Cheese turns into thick and branchy marijuana plants with thin and elongated leaves. Always looking radiant, this cannabis goddess produces numerous large, elongated and sticky buds with a very peculiar dark-green colour.
Yield
Cheese is a heavy yielder, producing 525 g/m2 indoors and up to 1000 g/plant outdoors. During harvest time, the smell is virtually unbearable; it fills the room so intensely that it becomes almost anaesthetic. And the number of buds and the amount of resin is also overwhelming.
Aromas and flavours
Cheese is one of those marijuana strains with very special tastes and aromas: pronounced and long-lasting flavours and scents of cured cheese right from the very first puff. Truly wonderful. Wherever she goes, she leaves a trace of Skunk, old cheese and incense that seduces all people around her.
Effects
Cheese produces a very pleasant effect, both potent but balanced, that starts with a nice cerebral stimulation and ends up with a physically relaxing sensation. With rather respectable THC levels between 9 % and 14 %, she makes a great choice for those who want to unwind for a while. You won’t be able to forget her!
Cultivation
Cheese grows very fast (50-60 days) and very strong, so cultivating her is very easy, even for inexperienced cannabis growers. Despite responding well to all growing methods, she's proved to thrive in SCROG. Outdoors, she loves being grown in temperate/Mediterranean climates or in greenhouses, and, by early/mid-October, she’ll be ready for harvest. It’s very important to remember that anti-odour filters are likely to be necessary if we want to neutralize her strong aroma and prevent nosy neighbours from becoming suspicious.

Cheese
Very nice plant. So many tops with no training. Very frosty. Doesn’t like a lot of nutrients. -
Forgiving indeed
My first time ever growing a cannabis plant!!!! Picked this one to start due its resilient characteristics. It took me 132 days from seedling to harvest and it's sturdiness paid off the many mistakes I've made (humidity were consistently over 65% here in Brazil) , the downside was the yield of only 10% of that 500g advertised. I used a tent of 80cm x 80cm x 1,6m, 400w LED and Biobizz ferts. The only technique I used was top cutting and some pruning. It's still in the drying stage but the smell is already very pungent. -

Verified purchaseCheese from DinaFem is sth you need to pay attention, be sure that this seeds will make you satisfied, I've bought first seeds in shop and for second growing from e-shop. Plants are easy growing, good adjusting to LST, also having looking well build with thick stalks, which can make you sure about good dank buds. Have an eye at humidity and all will be just O.K. I'm been growing them under 960W Led Lamp in 1,2x1,2x200 tent + material pots with soil, this seeds gave me unexpected good fields! I'm medical user who use vaporizer to apply weed. I'm vapping at 175-180 degrees taste is amazing, effect are stress and pain releasing and gets you a little sleepy, prepare cup of green tea because is a bit mouth drying. Cheers Cheese! -
Cheese is awesome to grow!
Easy to grow. Very forgiving. Trimming is a breeze! Hardly any leaf to trim. Just the fan leaves! Love the aroma, although it did take a bit to develop to the point of 'nice'. Pretty pungent! -
Great seeds and customer service!
Shipments have taken a maximum 20 days to Canada and the seeds have always germinated quickly and healthy. Have grown Auto as well as feminized and have no complaints. Awaiting another shipment any day now. Orange Juice and another strain from Humboldt. Will continue to shop Dinafem and their partners. -
Deliciously smelly
Verified purchaseHad to try this strain as I’ve always heard so much about it! It lives up to the name cheese as it has a musty/cheese dank smell!! Smokes really clean with a nice high! The growth was like a compact Indica wit lots of lateral branching and compact internodes..grew this with SCROG method indoors vegged for 5 weeks and harvested some top shelf buds. If you’ve never tried this strain I would highly recommend it!! Cheers -

OMG I've created a monster.
I am an avid greenhouse grower spanning over 40 years. Yes over 40 years. Every year I try to grow different strains. I have a small greenhouse for personal consumption. I purchased seeds from another company and they included Dinafem Cheese as a free gift. This year I am growing Critical and Dinafem Cheese. This year I decided to top the two plants in the early stage of growth. Something I very rarely do. My Critical is performing quite well with lots of buds. Then there's the Dinafem Cheese. It is a monster. Well developed and flowering for a couple of weeks now. Loaded with buds. My greenhouse is 9 feet tall by 8 feet wide and 16 feet long About 7 weeks ago the Cheese plant hit the ceiling. I've had to pull down the tops and tie up many other branches because it's over 9 feet tall and 8 feet wide. I cannot believe the size of this plant. It's on steroids. I can't wait to grow this strain again. Next time I won't top the plant. At this point I am only giving 4 stars since I am many weeks away from harvest but I am sure I will follow up with a 5 star review after harvest. Happy smoking. -
Fast flowering and funky in aroma
I had mine finish in a little over 6 weeks however I was experimenting with an 11on 13off light cycle I received an OG Kush and the cheese as freebies and I crossed them together with the reversed cheese and the offspring have some very interesting traits. One smells like pure afghani but looks like the kush in structure others are fruity other are very pungent and almost offensive.... I have enjoyed the free seeds and they seem to be happy to breed under my watch no hermies either -
Very nice!
There's 2 phenos, one indica, and one more sativa leaning that I've encountered. The taller, more sativa one was very nice. Long, thin leaves with good gaps for excellent light exposure. Super tight nugs which made it look like a mediocre yielder, but ended up with 23 zips from 5 five gallon hydro pots under 1K HPS on a 10rpm light rail. Got puddin' face from that batch! Too stupid to leave the house! The more indica leaning one looked more like the video, but again, super tight nugs, frosty like the tall one, and a great yielder too. Very fast, only 7 weeks under a 1K DE HPS. The DE really sped things up, which was awesome, more time to rest between waiting for slower strains to finish! Be sure to really lollypop high on the more indica pheno as it has this incredible ability to produce leaves from what appear to be empty stems. This thing is crazy strong, would be fun in a scrog, but I'm too old to crawl around on the floor ;) Thanks for all the great strains over the years Dinafem, it was a blast. Have to retire due to being on my last days, but you've made it sweeter for me. Good luck to all of you! -
