- California Orange Diesel
Perfect for: Users looking for a fruity taste and a moderate high. People who wish to make a therapeutic use of cannabis and/or want to flee the THC-derived potency.
It may not be cool to say so, but we have to admit that Purple Orange CBD is one of our favourite genetics. There's no point in denying it. The entire Dinafem Seeds team became hooked on this Sativa-dominant marijuana seed that, thanks to her high CBD content, offers both a delicious taste and a more balanced effect. And all this without even mentioning her delicate purple tones that are a real sight to behold. This peculiar hybrid derives from the backcross of a California Orange Diesel, a very exclusive Californian clone. Her complex taste, therapeutic potential, and striking appearance are some of her amazing hallmarks. No wonder this marvelous strain obtained the 2nd prize in the 'Extraction' category at the 2016 CBD-rich Cup.
Thanks to her Sativa dominance, Purple Orange CBD turns into a mid-sized marijuana plant with an open structure, ample internodes and thin leaves that allow for a better aeration and light penetration, resulting in a stronger resistance to moisture and plagues. This incredibly vigorous plant develops numerous branches that end up completely covered in dense, smelly buds. She’s in fact a highly ornamental plant. So beautiful that we’ll feel the urge to place her in the middle of our dining room, to see how proudly she displays all her strikingly purple colours.
No doubt she’s a good producer of buds. In fact, she’s perfect for those users who wish to always obtain generous crops packed with cannabidiol.
Aromas and flavours
Purple Orange CBD will delight all those in love with fruity tastes and aromas but not only them. Those who want to consume marijuana without worrying about her psychoactive effect being excessively strong will also find a great ally in her. Purple Orange CBD is like a candy bar, noted for her pronounced aroma with hints of orange, chocolate and lemon.
What a nice surprise when we analysed the cannabinoid content of Purple Orange CBD! Our gas chromatograph revealed there was something very special in her, a 1:2 THC/CBD ratio that made her effect vastly different from what we were used to, creating a brand new way to enjoy cannabis. A far more gentle and balanced experience was ahead of us. Thanks to that THC/CBD (5%/10%) ratio, Purple Orange CBD showcases many therapeutic properties that can alleviate anxiety issues, boost the appetite and even relax muscle tension. The high she delivers is moderate and a bit euphoric but highly clear. Our Purple Orange CBD and a good massage with grapefruit essential oils is the perfect combination to make all the stress accumulated during the day disappear.
Purple Orange CBD is really easy to grow. Given her Sativa dominance, she’ll be happy to receive a more generous fertilizing than indicated in the manufacturer’s instructions for use. Besides, thanks to her open structure, this cannabis beauty is resistant to moisture and plagues. In short, in exchange for a bit of attention, this DinaGirl will produce numerous buds with a delicious scent of citrus.
Total amount of cannabinoids*: 16.53%
*Cannabis contains at least 113 cannabinoids, which can be either acidic or neutral. When heated – e.g. through smoking, vaping or cooking – acidic cannabinoids decarboxylate and become neutral. This report refers only to the main cannabinoids – acidic and neutral – in this strain.
Total amount of terpenes*: 1.308%
*Cannabis contains over 100 terpenes. These compounds create the aroma unique to each strain and can interact with cannabinoids. This report refers only to the 15 most abundant terpenes in this strain.
These results have been obtained by liquid chromatography coupled to a UV-visible HPLC Detector (HPLC-UV/VIS) for identifying the cannabinoids and by gas chromatography coupled to a flame ionization detector (GC-FID) for the collection of terpenes. The equipment has been previously calibrated and quality control samples were run to assure the accuracy of the results. The data shown here is the average of samples coming from several plants grown from seeds by different growers.
The data contained within this report was collected in accordance with the requirements defined by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in their Recommended Methods for the Identification and Analysis of Cannabis and Cannabis Products. We hereby attest that the information contained within the report has been reviewed for accuracy and checked against the quality control requirements for each method.
